Meet Rebecca
Warm, attuned. Therapist, mom, world traveler.
I believe the most important aspect in the success of your therapy is
your relationship with your therapist.
Over the last 25 years I have worked with individuals and families in a variety of settings. I hold two masters’ degrees; a Master of Health Education from Columbia University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the Gottman Method. Most recently, I trained in Risk Need and Responsivity principles and employed structured decision-making processes using Functional Family Therapy, Multisystemic Therapy and Trauma Focused-CBT. I maintain a broad specialty in my practice with an emphasis on trauma, abuse, and family.
There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.

My approach
I strive to bring a warm, intuitive, and highly attuned presence to my sessions. I acknowledge the fundamental role of the therapeutic relationship and emphasize empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard in my work with clients. I believe we can all expect some degree of pain in our lives, but the suffering we experience in relation to that pain can be mediated with therapeutic support.
